Personnel Recovery Academy
The Personnel Recovery Academy (PRA) provides Code of Conduct/Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) training and subject matter expertise for the DoD, including related training for the US Government. PRA has a long history of support to the PR mission. From its Cold War origins in 1961 at Stead Air Force Base, Nevada, following the shoot down of Francis Gary Powers’ U-2 aircraft over the Soviet Union, the Academy has expanded its programs to meet today's emerging threat to our Armed Forces.
